Which juice should you choose to accompany a cheese platter?
What if we rethought cheese pairings? While wine remains the most common pairing, fruit juices or nectars – when well chosen – emerge as a surprising and delicious gastronomic alternative, provided their balances are respected. Texture, acidity, aromatic intensity: at Alain Milliat, our juices and nectars, particularly our collection of varietal grape juices, are designed to reveal the richness of cheeses, alcohol-free, but with plenty of character.
Discover now how to enhance every type of cheese with natural, sincere, and elegant fruit juices and nectars, to be enjoyed by the glass.

The collection of varietal grape juices
Alain Milliat is one of the few to offer a complete collection of single-varietal grape juices, made from iconic varieties:
• Chardonnay White: floral and honeyed, with a nice acidity
• Merlot Red: round, ample, with notes of black fruits
• Sauvignon White: fresh, herbal, slightly lemony
• Cabernet Rosé: fruity, floral, very refreshing
These varietal juices offer true aromatic depth while maintaining the naturalness of the fruit. Served in wine glasses, they fit perfectly on a high-end cheese platter, for a non-alcoholic yet gastronomic moment.

Our best juice & cheese pairings
Fresh or aged goat cheeses
Fresh, tangy, sometimes slightly herbal, they call for juices that are both lively and floral. To pair with:
• White Grape Juice Sauvignon: lively, floral, slightly vegetal, it enhances the goat aromas without overpowering them. Ideal for balancing a crottin de Chavignol or an ash-covered goat cheese.
• Cox’s Apple Juice: with its elegant acidity, it is perfect for milder or semi-dry cheeses like fresh goat cheese.

Pressed cooked cheeses (Comté, Beaufort, Gruyère)
Round, melting, and slightly nutty or fruity, these cheeses enjoy the richness and maturity of a well-interpreted fruit. To pair with:
• Red Grape Juice Merlot: round, ample, and fruity, it extends the richness of a 24-month Comté without overwhelming its aromas.
• Apricot Nectar Bergeron: indulgent, fleshy, its sweetness highlights the depth of a summer Beaufort.

Fresh cheeses (curds, brousse, mozzarella)
Light, milky, very fresh, these cheeses pair well with fruity, floral, or zesty juices. To pair with:
• Williams Pear Nectar: delicate and refreshing, perfect with curds.
• Wild Blueberry Nectar: intense, fruity, slightly tannic, it contrasts with the creamy sweetness of a burrata or mozzarella.
Soft cheeses with a bloomy rind (Brie, Camembert, Brillat-Savarin)
Rich, creamy, with a delicate bitterness depending on the aging, they call for freshness and sweetness. To pair with:
• White Grape Juice Chardonnay: floral and honeyed, it brings elegance to a Brie de Meaux and refreshes the palate while enhancing the cheese's fat content.
• Reinette Apple Juice: slightly tangy, ideal for lightening a truffled brie.

Blue cheeses (Bleu d’Auvergne, Roquefort, Fourme d’Ambert)
Powerful, salty, with a true length on the palate, they need a drink that can respond with intensity or sweetness. To pair with:
• Rosé Grape Juice Cabernet: fruity and refreshing, it contrasts with the salty character of Fourme d’Ambert and softens it without diminishing it.
