Corsican Clementine Juice

High-end juices from Alain Milliat

Jus de Clémentine Corse Alain Milliat

Alain Milliat Corsican Clementine juice is made from carefully selected fruits to offer a quality French juice produced in his workshop in Valence, in the Drôme.

The clementine grows in the mild and temperate climates of the shores of the Mediterranean. It was discovered in the 20th century in Algeria. Then, it made its first appearance in France in the early 1900s, and it was on the Isle of Beauty that this citrus fruit decided to flourish.

Indeed, Corsica is the only French region which hosts clementine production on its land. It is on this island between land and sea that the clementine tree finds what it needs: an ideal climate to thrive. Thanks to the mild days and cool Corsican nights, the development of the clementine is favorable there.

It is natural for Maison Alain Milliat to select the best fruits for its juices and nectars. Corsican Clementine obtained Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) in 2007, which differentiates it from other varieties of clementines. The IGP is an official European quality sign which guarantees the excellence of a product.

Through Alain Milliat clementine juice, Corsica is highlighted through its emblematic citrus fruit. When tasting it, it presents a certain roundness, delicate notes and a slight bitterness which also make it strong.

I chose this Corsican clementine for its extreme freshness and slight bitterness .” - Alain Milliat
